What to bring and what to expect
Here are some tips to make your Sitka experience the best the best experience:
-
Arrive at our Harrigan Centennial Hall vender’s sign 15 minutes prior to scheduled tour time. Here we'll give you information for your tour departure.

-
For the Sitka Marine Tour please use the restroom prior to boarding; there are no lavatories seaward

-
Dress in layers; the weather in Sitka can be a bit temperamental; whether you’re seaward or shore-ward, being able to shed or add layers can make all the difference for a fun and comfortable trip.

-
Wear comfortable walking shoes; this is ideal footwear for both our land and marine tours.

-
Bring a light waterproof jacket in case of rain, either on land or at sea.

-
Don’t forget your camera (with plenty of batteries) to take pictures of the beautiful scenery, wildlife and historic sites.

1. Old Sitka Dock
If your cruise ship docks at the terminal north of town (Old Sitka Dock) you will need to take the free shuttle buses to downtown Sitka. These buses will take you directly to our location at the visitor drop off point (Harrigan Centennial Hall). Here you’ll see a row of tour vendors. Baranof Tours holds the blue sign with our red & gold logo:

You’ll need to come around to the front side of the building. Here you’ll see a row of tour vendors. Baranof Tours holds the blue sign with our red & gold logo:
